Christa Romanosky is a writer, educator, and fiber artist from northern Appalachia. Her writing has been included in Best American Short Stories 2021, The Baffler, Alaska Quarterly Review, Boston Review, Cincinnati Review, and elsewhere. She has an MFA from University of Virginia and completed her undergraduate degrees at Carnegie Mellon University. Her current work focuses on rural places, trauma and extraction, including forms of escape, what it means to repair, and unfamiliar forms of justice.

Recent artwork has focused on weaving, spinning, and ceramics. Portions of her work include root grafting, plant cuttings, propagation, and design.
